Modern Edgy Basement

Basement renovations inspire us to take form and function to the next level, and this one was no exception! The home theater transforms from open space to private viewing with the integration of black velvet darkening drapes, and the golf simulator adds an element of sophisticated leisure rarely featured in home design projects. We mixed natural stones with modern fixtures for depth and drama, and created a sleek, multi-functioning recreation room -- complete with a home gym and wine cellar!

Designing a Model Home for a builder is one of our favorite things to do! We’re able to conceptualize the space before it’s even built, allowing us an incredible amount of design time and creative freedom. We choose a warm and welcoming theme for each model home, and then hit the ground running to come up with the perfect selections! Lighting, plumbing, tile, paint colors, furniture and accessories -- we do it all, so our builders don’t have to!

This house had good bones, but needed a full renovation when our client purchased it in 2016. It was our job to bring it back to life with an innovative and timeless design strategy.  We used our architectural expertise to turn the outdated fireplaces into stunning, stone and brick focal points and we reworked the kitchen and butler’s pantry by incorporating custom millwork. This was a complete home renovation so we also dug in to the floors, cabinets, lighting, plumbing and so on! But what’s a home renovation without beautiful, new furniture and custom designed drapes? Yep…we did that too!

Kitchen Renovation

The heart of the home, our Kitchens have become so much more than just a place to eat. It’s where we gather to share our dreams, our laughter and our love! The owners of this Townhome wanted to welcome family and friends into a fresh, new Transitional design scheme that would also provide more storage and open space. We started by changing the shape and direction of the island to improve traffic flow, and we transformed an additional dining area into a stunning built-in pantry with custom woodwork and glass doors. From initial drawings to final selections, our team created a strikingly beautiful, highly functional space for all to enjoy.

Eclectic in Elmhurst

Listening to our client’s ideas, and then building upon that vision, is our approach to every project that comes our way. Our collaboration with this family was a true labor of love that began with blueprints and continued through move-in day. Stunning ceiling designs, dozens of unique tile selections, modern and mixed lighting, and literally, hundreds of wood finish details. Together, we integrated some of their existing furniture into the room layout, and then made all additional selections to create this client’s Dream Home!

Change is good. And sometimes, the smallest changes in your home décor can make a huge difference and boost your mood in unexpected ways! Our single room renovations fulfill that niche and work perfectly for the client that prefers to spice up one space at a time. Continuity and room flow are important factors to consider when adding new furniture, lighting, accessories or drapes -- and we have it down to a science!

Pub Room

Finally…a Living Room that is fun, festive and functional! We went way outside the box to transform this sleepy, rarely used space into a classic Pub Room with thick, wooden beams, reclaimed Chicago brick and rustic lighting. Working hand in hand with our clients, we were able to reveal this room’s full potential and create a space that draws family and friends into their home (maybe even more than they’d like!)

Coastal Retreat

Big or small, we love how it feels to walk into a new space for the first time. This particular home presented more than 8,000 square feet of ‘blank canvas’ for our team. A design challenge to be sure…but one we welcomed with passion and excitement! Each selection, from fixtures and tiles to artwork and accessories, transformed this home into the perfect Coastal Retreat, with amenities to die for!
